Devil Cat

This embroidery is based on a story about a fisherman's wife is visited by a cat who
comes in and starts to eat all the fish. She tries to get rid of the cat and in the process she
get really scratched up. The cat of course can talk and says many infuriating things. As a
last resort the woman goes to a near by church and gets some holy water. This she then
throws on the cat and the cat begins to burn. The cat melts down into a pile of goo and all
that remains is its burning red eyes. I've been working on and off on this piece for some
time. The reason is that I do not like this one as much as the others. I do not think it is as
strong, but I always have this urgent need to finish the pieces I start even if I do not
always like them.
